What is the difference between Tonic and Salve?
Tonic is the liquid version of Salve, with less wax in it, so it is less water resistant. But since it is liquid it will soak into more than Salve so is especially good for extremely dry pieces. Salve provides a satin finish whereas the Tonic is a matte finish.
